E-Fit released after attempted Christchurch Robbery

Detectives investigating an attempted robbery in the Walkford area of the town are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them urgently – with officers releasing an e-fit of one of the men responsible.

The incident, in which two men entered a property in the Walkford Road area and demanded cash before assaulting the occupant, happened at about 7.15pm on Sunday 20 May 2012.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, sustained facial injuries – consisting of cuts and bruises – and was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital and later released.

Detective Constable Tristan Downie, of Dorset Police CID, said: “Following further enquiries, I am now able to release an e-fit of one of the men responsible.”

The robber pictured in the e-fit is described as white, aged in his forties and five feet eight inches tall with wide shoulders. He has a bald head, was wearing a black bomber jacket and stonewashed blue jeans and was talking with a husky whispering voice.

The second offender is also aged in his forties, six feet tall and of average build. He has long hair down the middle of his head but shaved at the sides. At the rear of his head he has tattoos of skulls in the hairline. He was wearing a green zipped up jacket and blue jeans.

DC Downie continued: “Both men fled the area toward the direction of the Walkford pub along Walkford Road.

“Such an incident is very unusual for this area and I am appealing to anyone who recognises the described men to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.

“Anyone with any information is urged to dial 101 in confidence.”
