New Forest District Council NFDC are providing four days of free parking to coincide with Christmas events.
NFDC town and village centre car parks will be free on 6th December 2025 Small Business Saturday, and on 20th and 21st December 2025 the last weekend before Christmas.
The free parking days include a chosen date by town and parish councils to coincide with their own festivities.
Residents and visitors can check with local town and parish councils for more information on their chosen date.
Dates agreed with town and parishes councils are:
Beaulieu – 20 December 2025
Brockenhurst – 05 December 2025
Burley – 13 December 2025
Fordingbridge – 28 November 2025
Hythe – 29 November 2025
Fawley – 24 December 2025
Lymington – 28 November 2025
Lyndhurst – 13 December 2025
Milford on Sea – 05 December 2025
New Milton – 29 November 2025
Ringwood – 30 November 2025
Totton – 13 December 2025
Councillor Geoffrey Blunden, portfolio holder for environment and sustainability, said: “We’re offering the free parking days as an incentive for people to shop locally, especially at such a vital time for businesses.
Our high streets are the heart of our towns and villages, and an important part of our local economy.
We’re also keen to help people engage in festive events ran by their local communities, and so the free parking will also take place on a day chosen from town and parish councils in support of their Christmas events.”
