A person wearing orange work clothes and grey gloves is wheeling a black general waste bin with a closed lid on a paved surface.
New Forest District Council (NFDC) is advising residents that waste and recycling collections will start earlier than usual this week due to high temperatures.
Residents are asked to put their waste containers out by 5am on their collection day this week (Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July).
Those who typically receive an early collection are encouraged to place bins out the night before, ideally no earlier than 6pm.
NFDC will work to complete all scheduled collections; however, high temperatures may affect how quickly rounds can be completed.
If collections cannot be completed on the scheduled day, updates will be published on the council’s missed collections webpage at https://www.newforest.gov.uk/MissedCollections
Residents whose bins have not been collected by 2pm are asked to report the issue by midday the next working day.
If a whole street has been missed, the council will be aware and will aim to return over the following days, and there is no need to report it.
NFDC thanks residents for their patience and for helping crews stay safe in the hot weather.
